Chord Blue Music licenses its musical compositions for use in:
- Record Albums
- New Media
- Film
- Trailers/Promos
- TV
- Internet
- Commercials
- Corporate
- Video/DVD
In order to facilitate licensing a song from Chord Blue Music, a license request form must be filled out and submitted with the appropriate information (as described in detail below). Licensing fees and rates will differ for each type of request. Please note that a license cannot be guaranteed in each case.
Mechanical License
Authorization from a music publisher or songwriter must be obtained to record and distribute a song on phono records (CDs, MP3s, etc.). A Mechanical
License is required if you want to mechanically reproduce a musical composition from Chord Blue Music on a compact disc, prerecorded tape, phonorecord, or other audio only format.

Synchronization License
A Synchronization (Synch) License must be obtained if you want to reproduce a musical composition "in connection with" or "in timed relation/synched with" a visual image (e.g., motion picture, television program, video or advertising commercial). A Synch License is required it you want to use a song from the Chord Blue Music catalog in television advertisements, motion pictures, Videos/DVDs, CD-Roms, Video Games, etc.

Be sure to include the following information in your request letters:
- Title of composition(s) interested in using
- Writer(s) of composition(s)
- Portion of the composition you want to use (ex: first 30 seconds,
chorus, entire song, etc.)
- Media
- Detailed Project / Product Description
- Territory
- When use will occur (term requested)
- Contact Info (name, mailing address, telephone, email address,
fax number)
